If you’re lucky enough to spend a weekend sampling locally made cheese, wine, chocolate and coffee, you are lucky enough.
As you’ve probably heard by now, I recently co-hosted Taste of Michigan here in my backyard of Grand Rapids with one of my fellow blogging friends, Rachel.
It was a whirlwind weekend of tasting, networking, drinking and laughing with fellow food bloggers who came from DC to Chicago and everywhere in between. Now that I’ve had good night’s rest and a strong cup of coffee, I am smiling from ear to ear as I look back through the photos. Please join me for a photo tour of Taste of Michigan:
Breakfast at the Silver Spork Food Truck located at the Fulton Street Farmer’s Market – out of this world!!
Delicious fresh roasted coffee from Rowster and local goodies from Art of the Table.
Samples from the very own Patricia of Patricia’s Chocolates
Next Stop: Bistro Bella Vita for Lunch plus KitchenAid Demo + Giveaways!
Posing with Claire before my KitchenAid Demo of my Great Aunt Vieve’s Hummus with Toasted Pine Nuts
What comes after lunch? Wine and cheese, of course. Next stop is Reserve Wine & Food for sparkling wine and chacuterie samples. Oh, and a tour from Peter, the handsome GM.

Can’t tell you how good it felt to finally meet Sheila, my long lost sista!
What comes after a day of eating? Another meal! Next up: Private Chef’s Tasting Menu and Drinks at Six.One.Six located in the JW Marriott.

Can you tell that Becca, Margaux and myself are ready for a glass of vino?

The lovely Rachel, Jamie and Sheila ready for dinner.
Attendees received giant bags of swag valued at over $500.00 in edible goodness including sparkling wine, vanilla, heirloom dried beans, hot sauce, coffee, chocolate, granola and even free food FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR at BD’s Mongolian BBQ!
Overall, the event was a complete success and, from my perspective, could not have gone any better if we tried. Thank you to all of you who attended! I look forward to seeing all of you again soon – perhaps at the Grand Rapids Wine & Food Festival next month!
