Bagger Dave’s Legendary Burger Tavern

A cold beer and a juicy burger is my husband’s all time favorite meal so when I was recently invited to an exclusive blogger luncheon at the newest location, I jumped on the opportunity.  Bagger Dave’s Legendary Burger Tavern is a Michigan-based company with over 10 locations throughout the state. In the next 5 years, they will be expanding throughout the country with over 24 new locations on the books for Indianapolis, Ohio, Wisconsin, Kentucky and more.

Let’s cut to the chase, here is what I loved about Bagger Dave’s:

Healthy Menu Options: When people ask me advice on losing weight, I always suggest researching restaurant menus online before heading out to eat. Bagger Dave’s makes it easy by offering complete nutrition facts for everything on their menu.  Turkey and Black Bean Chili, Sweet Potato Chips and even apple slices for the kiddos make it easy to stay on track. My favorite? Their Nacho Average Veggie Burger which came with spicy jalapenos and guacamole. (The waitress didn’t even give me a glare when I asked her to leave off the cheese, sour cream and nacho chips.)

Family-Friendly Atmosphere: If you’ve ever gone out to eat with a toddler, you can appreciate built-in entertainment. My 14 month old was instantly enamored with the electric train that travels around the dining and bar area. Distracted baby = mommy can eat.

Koeze Cream-Nut Butter: Anyone who knows me knows that I am mildly obsessed with peanut butter and my favorite peanut butter in the entire world happens to be roasted locally in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Salty, roasted and perfectly nutty – I was thrilled to learn that Bagger Dave’s uses Koeze in everything from their PB & J(alapenos) Burger to Grilled Peanut Butter, Honey and Banana Sandwich.

Craft Beers: Featuring over 40 Michigan-made products, it is no surprise that all of our favorite local beers are on tap from Founder’s to Brewery Vivant.  Heading to a location outside of Michigan? Don’t worry, they will feature local beers there, too!

The bottom line? If you’re looking for a great place to kick back and relax, enjoy locally made products and delicious food that the entire family will love – give Bagger Dave’s a try. It definitely has my two thumbs up!

Disclaimer: I was not paid to write this post. Bagger Dave’s invited me and several other local bloggers to enjoy a free lunch. All opinions are my own.

What perfect timing for this post, as I am craving a hamburger today! Sounds like a fun restaurant and the sweet potato chips sound delish. Not so sure about nacho chips on a burger though…but that peanut butter sure sounds good!
