2012 was a very good year both personally and professionally.  On a personal level, we had the joy of watching our first child grow from cuddly infant to crawling baby to walking, talking toddler. One of the many reasons I love being a blogger is because it enables me to work from home and spend my days with my little guy.

On a professional level, 2012 started out with a bang: a live appearance on NBC’s TODAY Show where I had the opportunity to cook my Pesto Chicken Pasta with Swiss Chard in front of millions of viewers. (Can you tell I’m a little nervous during rehearsal?)

And yes, my son flew to NYC at just four months old! After appearing on the TODAY Show, I soon started taping regular cooking segments for my local NBC affiliate station and have truly enjoyed learning the art of cooking on television.

In June, I celebrated my Second Blogging Anniversary with a brand new website, web design and name: goodbye Liz’s Lemon Bowl, hello The Lemon Bowl! In October, I co-hosted Taste of Michigan with Rachel, my blogging buddy and fellow Michigander. It was so nice to finally meet other bloggers in person including my girls Sheila and Jamie.

To anyone who has ever tried my recipes, left me a comment, texted me a photo of the finished product or anything in between: Thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You inspire me. You challenge me. You bring me joy.
