Citrus Berry Smoothie {Blendtec + Stonyfield Giveaway!}

Citrus Berry Breakfast Smoothie Spinach - The Lemon Bowl

When you’re craving a healthy and delicious breakfast, I can’t think of a better way to start your day than a thick and creamy smoothie. By using whatever fruits and veggies you have on hand or are in season, you’re giving your body a major vitamin boost – perfect for cold and flu season!

Citrus Berry Breakfast Smoothie - The Lemon Bowl

Want more dark leafy greens in your diet? Throw them in a smoothie! My 16 month old loves green smoothies and I feel great about giving him a healthy dose of iron and antioxidants. Added bonus? Vitamin C from the citrus helps your body absorb the iron found in baby spinach. Boom.

Toddler Smoothie - The Lemon Bowl

Speaking of sneaking spinach into a smoothie, I am officially smitten with my brand new gorgeous Blendtec blender. This baby is more like a small computer than a blender. Light weight, high speed and powerful – I have never had a smoothie taste so rich, thick and creamy.  I can’t wait to try it out for soups, dips, ice cream and more.

Stonyfield Blends Yogurt Stash - The Lemon Bowl

To go with the blender, my friends at Stonyfield recently sent me a stash of their all new Stonyfield Blends and I’m stoked to be giving out a stash to one of YOU! These delicious new fruit and yogurt blends are 100% organic and packed with protein.

Do you love Greek yogurt but wish it was a little less tangy? Stonyfield Blends is your answer. Not only does it have more protein than regular yogurt but it has a much more mellow, subtle flavor that won’t make your smoothie super tart.

In fact, my husband who typically packs a Greek yogurt for lunch every day is the newest convert (and the reason our stash of blends quickly dwindled.)

Your straw is waiting.

Our favorite citrus is good old fashion oranges. My boys love them and so does my hubby & I. For me grapefruit is a second place forsure. I’m super excited for this giveaway. I’ve prayed for a blendtec for years. I’ve been trying to get fit and healthy. Had a Heath scare last year and it’s really changed me. I’ve made the decision to do this for not only myself but for my kids. My family loves smoothies and I will incorporate veggies and fruit in them. Thank you for this opportunity.

  4. Silvia Casanova says

The seedless, easy peel clementines are my fav citrus! (And I would love the blentek because I have a serious crush on my mother-in-laws, and I don’t think it would enhance my relationship to steal hers!)

This is the coolest blender ever! Perfect for all of the smoothie recipes that I get from the Lemon Bowl :) Fingers crossed, and if nothing else I can’t wait for the weekly smoothie recipes (p.s., for someone with a 90 minute morning commute, smoothies are basically the perfect breakfast food).

  15. Donna says

Just signed up for the Blendtec newsletter….I would so use and “abuse” my Blentec blender!!!…Love the idea of a healthy strawberry or blueberry shake with plenty of protein involved…My absolute favorite fruit is the raspberry…but my favorite citrus would have to be the phenomenal blood oranges we used to get in Tunisia.

  16. says

Oh my goodness, I’m so excited! My oldest son and I are forever fighting over the blender for our smoothie fix! Me…to lose weight. Him…to gain weight! Cruel irony :p

Great idea to use plain yogurt if you are watching your sugar intake! We love using ripe bananas to sweeten naturally. Let me know if you give this a try! Enjoy!

  18. says

I’m crazy about the great big juicy oranges… But then again, a broiled grapefruit with a little sugar on it is sort of fantastic. I love fruits and berries of all kinds!

  19. Karen D says

I love lemons…lemon juice adds a brightness to many savory dishes (and you can cut back/out the salt) as well as making a ‘splash’ in fruit pies!
