Some might see overly ripe bananas and instantly think banana bread. When I see ripe bananas I think smoothies. On any given day, I always have bananas in my freezer. Once they get too ripe to eat raw, I peel them and break into thirds then freeze in a zip loc sandwich bag. The riper, the better!
Today’s recipe is the perfect use for your leftover morning cup of joe. The stronger the coffee, the more flavorful the smoothie. I love to use chocolate protein powder but even a scoop of natural peanut butter would do the trick (for just 30 extra calories.) This smoothie tastes more like a dessert than breakfast and is loaded in protein and fiber. Added bonus? Coffee is loaded in antioxidants.
You’re welcome.
