Tips for creating the ultimate summer brunch board with Sabra hummus breakfast toasts. Perfect for effortless entertaining!
Brunch is one of my favorite meals of the day, especially when it comes to entertaining. Less fussy than dinner and less formal than a cocktail party, there is something so effortless and carefree about having friends over for weekend brunch.
Since charcuterie boards are always such a hit when I throw parties, I decided to switch things up and create a brunch board full of summery hummus breakfast toasts. When hosting friends for brunch, you can either pre-assemble a variety of toasts or create an interactive “make your own brunch toast” bar.
When setting up the brunch toast bar, start the line with a variety of high quality, crusty loaves of bread that you’ve pre-toasted before your guests arrived. Next, offer a wife variety of Sabra hummus flavors as well as a variety of fun toppings that your guests can mix and match.
When determining the toppings to offer, I like to come up with a few flavor combinations that I know will pair well together. Then, for inspiration, I have one example of each flavor combo pre-assembled.
In terms of brunch toasts, I recommend offering a variety of both sweet and savory toppings as well as plenty of plant-based options for those not eating meat. Hummus is a great source of protein on its own and, of course, naturally vegan and gluten free.
While the sky is the limit in terms of toppings, I offered four hummus toast options:
- Scrambled Eggs and Everything Bagel Seasoning
- Sliced Strawberries, Toasted Almonds and Honey Drizzle
- Smoked Salmon, Capers and Onions
- Bacon, Arugula and Tomato
Of course, what’s brunch without a breakfast cocktail? We stuck to the classic mimosa for this brunch board but these toasts would pair well with my Spicy Bloody Mary with Bacon as well.
