Have you seen the new coconut flavored LaCroix sparkling water? It rocks my socks. LaCroix has a very special place in my heart. When I gave up my daily Diet Coke back in April of 2009 (who’s counting?), LaCroix was my sparkling water stand-in. To this day, I get my daily dose of fixx from LaCroix. I realize not everyone reading this blog has access to this tasty Michigan-made beverage but I am sure you have a variety of calorie free sparkling waters at your local grocery store. The key is to find one without any sugar or artificial sweeteners.
My other latest obsession? ABC’s new daily talk show, The Chew. Daphne Oz is one of the co-hosts who is currently going through a 21 day cleanse. Part of her cleanse involves juicing first thing in the morning, before having anything else to eat. Apparently consuming juice first thing in the morning allows the nutrients to go directly into your blood stream.
I’m not on a juice cleanse, I like food too much. And typically, I enjoy eating my fruits and vegetables in their whole form. But every now and again, I love the idea of giving my body a quick oil change and filling my blender with whatever fruits and veggies make me smile that day.
