Announcing the release of my newest recipe eCookbook, Food From Our Ancestors: The Ultimate Jewish Shabbat Dinner, featuring fourteen of my grandmother’s time-honored, treasured Jewish family recipes.
The third installment of my Food From Our Ancestors cookbook series, I’m so excited to finally share The Ultimate Jewish Shabbat Dinner!

A completely self-funded passion project, this book is preceded by The Ultimate Italian Sunday Dinner and The Ultimate Mexican Sunday Dinner. You can purchase one book for $3.99 or all three for just $9.99 in this convenient bundle package.
My objective is simple: to formally document family recipes passed down over the generations. This one is particularly special because it features 14 recipes from my Jewish grandmother, better known as “Ema Ljuba.”
The Ultimate Jewish Shabbat Dinner began last December when I had the opportunity to visit my Ema Ljuba in her Berkeley, California home to cook and photograph her best, most requested recipes. It was such an honor to spend time in her cozy kitchen hearing stories about each recipe and learning as much as possible from one of the best home cooks I’ve ever known.
Recipes in the book include Traditional Beef Brisket, Sephardic Chicken Soup, Shabbos Apple Cake, Challah, Ljuba’s Roasted Chicken, Crispy Potatoes with Fried Shallots and more. You can order a copy of the book here for just $3.99.
In the meantime, I’ll leave you with a few of my favorite photos from the book. I hope they leave you hungry and eager to cook for your family and friends.
