Announcing the release of my newest recipe eCookbook, Food From Our Ancestors: The Ultimate Mexican Sunday Dinner, featuring fifteen authentic, homestyle Mexican recipes passed down over the generations.
The second edition of the Food From Our Ancestors eCookbook series, I am thrilled to finally announce the release of The Ultimate Mexican Sunday Dinner! Featuring fifteen authentic recipes including enchiladas verdes, ceviche, posole rojo and traditional steak tacos, this book will be your go-to guide to satisfy all of your Mexican food cravings!
If this is your first time learning about my cookbook series, Food From Our Ancestors is a completely self-funded passion project fueled by nothing more than my desire to help families document the ethnic recipes from their childhood.
The first edition, The Ultimate Italian Sunday Dinner, features many of the classic dishes my husband grew up eating in Boston including Sunday gravy with meatballs, eggplant parmesan, shrimp scampi and more.
For this book, I had the honor of spending three days in the kitchen with my photographer Raul’s beautiful mother Gloria and his father Venie. Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, Raul moved to America when he was just seven years old.
While much of his family now lives here in America, nothing keeps them connected to their homeland of Mexico quite like Gloria’s home cooking.
Not only did I finally discover the secret to making the best steak tacos at home, but I got to spend several days with Raul’s parents learning about their ancestors, hearing family stories and absorbing as many cooking tips as I possibly could during our time together.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about Mexican cooking or know a friend who can’t get enough of the cuisine, you must grab a copy of this book today!
One thing I loved about cooking with Raul’s parents Gloria and Venie was watching them transform some of the most humble ingredients into the most delicious, flavorful and comforting dishes.
The only thing missing? Heavy layers of melted cheese, creamy sauces and gobs of sour cream. Additionally, like most authentic Mexican food, almost every recipe is naturally gluten free.
Don’t miss this opportunity – grab your copy of The Ultimate Mexican Sunday Dinner and invite your friends and family over for dinner this weekend! You won’t regret it.
