Don’t miss the Meijer LPGA Celebrity Chef Cookoff with Mario Batali and Gail Simmons! Proceeds help restock the shelves of local food pantries in West Michigan.
I had so much fun attending last year’s Meijer LPGA Celebrity Chef Cookoff with Carla Hall, Gail Simmons and Cat Cora which is why I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be attending once again! Ready for the fun part? This time I’ll be participating as a judge alongside none other than Mario Batali and Gail Simmons. (!!!!)
Local pastry chefs from three Grand Rapids bakeries will be facing off with their very best pastry creations. This year’s event takes place on Friday, July 24th at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Tickets to the event are $100 and are available for purchase online here.
Gail and I are both busy working moms of preschoolers so we had a lot to talk about when we met last year. I can’t wait to connect with her once again!
Of course, the family-owned chain of grocery stores is widely known throughout the midwest but I actually grew up with the Meijer family. They live just down the street from me and I have many memories of visiting their home as a kid!
If you’re not familiar, the driving mission of the Meijer LPGA Classic presented by Kraft – and all of the supporting events – is focused on feeding the hungry and improving the quality of life within the region. Last year’s tournament generated more than $600,000 for the Meijer Simply Give program, which restocks the shelves of food pantries across the Midwest. The program gives everyone a chance to work toward ensuring no one has to go to bed hungry.
Once again, tickets to the event are $100 and are available for purchase online here. If you do plan to attend, please let me know so that we can connect in person!
Hope to see you there but if you can’t make it, be sure to follow me on Instagram or SnapChat (TheLemonBowl) for fun behind-the-scenes! And if you have any burning questions for Mario or Gail, I’m all ears!
Disclosure: Meijer has compensated me for this post. Thank you for supporting the brands that make The Lemon Bowl possible. All thoughts are my own.
