Our Mission:
We’re here to empower home cooks with flavorful, nutrient-rich recipes that bring people together around the table. At the core of everything we do is the belief that food should be both nourishing and joyful.
The Story Behind the Name:
The Lemon Bowl® was inspired by the flavors of my Lebanese and Syrian heritage, where lemon juice is a staple ingredient in everything from dressings and marinades to hummus and tabbouleh. That hit of acidity doesn’t just add flavor, it brings balance, brightness, and depth to every dish. It’s the secret behind why so many of my recipes taste so fresh, vibrant, and satisfying.
Our Story:
The Lemon Bowl® was founded by Liz Della Croce in 2010 as a way to share healthy, flavorful recipes with family and friends. After a personal wellness journey that included a 60-pound weight loss, Liz became passionate about using food as a tool for feeling your best—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally too.
What started as a personal blog quickly turned into a thriving community centered around real food, global flavors, and approachable recipes that bring people together around the table. Inspired by her Lebanese and Syrian roots, Liz brings a love of bold spices, citrusy marinades, and veggie-packed dishes to everything she shares.
At The Lemon Bowl®, we believe healthy food should still taste amazing. You’ll find a mix of high-protein meals, Mediterranean classics, easy weeknight dinners, and nourishing snacks—all tested in a real family kitchen. Many recipes are naturally gluten-free, dairy-optional, and veggie-forward, with plenty of ideas for home cooks of all levels.
Each recipe is tested multiple times to make sure it works, tastes great, and feels doable—even on a busy night. Our goal is to give you recipes you’ll come back to again and again.
Liz’s work has been featured by the TODAY Show, Good Housekeeping, Real Simple, the Food Network Blog, and more. Millions of readers visit The Lemon Bowl® each year for trusted recipes, travel tips, and inspiration for a well-balanced life. We’re so glad you’re here.

The Recipes
I believe in nourishing the body with wholesome, seasonal ingredients. Preparing your own meals ensures that you’re fully aware of what you’re consuming, making it easier to embrace a balanced and mindful approach to eating.
A truly healthy lifestyle goes beyond diet. It includes regular exercise, strength training, prioritizing restorative sleep, and managing stress whenever possible. Taking care of both body and mind is key to overall well-being.
