Fun for the whole family, transform your favorite ice cream treat into a healthy 5-ingredient breakfast with these Yogurt Banana Splits with Muesli.
September is a fun time of year for our family but this year is especially wonderful. Our oldest boy just entered preschool for the first time and is getting ready to turn four in a couple days. Where has the time gone?
While it is a bit bittersweet, I am also really excited about this next stage and look forward to celebrating him this weekend. It seems like just yesterday he was rocking the baby mohawk.
Every year we have a birthday tradition that involves going out to breakfast, picking up his cake from the bakery and filling up balloons with helium for his party later in the day. This year we will be going to his favorite spot in town called Anna’s House that serves the most fun breakfast ever: granola banana splits.
We make these 5-ingredient, no cook yogurt banana splits all the time in our house – they have become a favorite with both of my boys.
My version is a bit healthier than the restaurant because I use unsweetened whole milk yogurt and unsweetened muesli.
For natural sweetness, we use whatever ripe berries we have on hand and a drizzle of honey. Maple syrup also works well or you could even get crazy and melt a little peanut butter to drizzle on top.

Your fork is waiting.
- 4 large bananas - split lengthwise
- 1 cup whole milk plain yogurt
- 1 cup muesli (I love Bob's Red Mill)
- 1 cup fresh berries (i.e. blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
- ¼ cup honey
- Divide split bananas amongst plates and spread each half with 2 tablespoons yogurt.
- Sprinkle banana halves with muesli and fresh berries.
- Drizzle with honey to serve.
