A look at one of Jamaica’s most family-friendly, all-inclusive resorts: Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall in Montego Bay.
Earlier this year I crossed a new country off my travel buck list: Jamaica! While I’ve been all over Mexico and the Caribbean this was my first ever visit to the beautiful nation of Jamaica.

Home base during my stay was the all-inclusive, family-friendly resort Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall. Their adults-only sister property, Hyatt Zilara, is located right next door.
If you’re not familiar with all-inclusive resorts, it means that your stay includes unlimited food and beverages (including alcoholic), activities and entertainment.
Whether it’s a spin class in the fitness room, a game of water volleyball in the pool or a five-course dinner with wine, it’s all included with your stay at the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall.
Access Both Resorts if You’re An Adult
Adults 18 and up have access to both properties including pools, restaurants, bars, and more. And yes, there’s even a swim-up bar at the adults-only pool.
Guest rooms
Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall offers 277 rooms and suites with features like private furnished terraces. I highly recommend the Club Level room which gives you access to private check-in, personalized concierge services, spa discounts, and the Club Lounge, offering premium drinks, appetizers, and table games.
If you’re traveling with little ones, a spacious suite will give you extra room to spread out as well.
Food
As a healthy foodie, I am always looking for resorts with high-quality restaurants that feature a variety of healthy options. This resort did not disappoint.
All of the buffets offered a wide range of healthy options at breakfast and lunch including fresh tropical fruit, salad bars, seafood, whole grains, fresh juices, and more.
In addition, they offer sit-down fine dining and 24-hour room service. All of which is complimentary!
Want to eat by the pool? Don’t miss the infamous Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall Jerk Hut featuring their world-famous jerk chicken and jerk pork.
In fact, they even shared their special jerk pork recipe with me – simply swap with chicken if you prefer!
Included activities
Throughout the day, the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall offers a wide variety of complimentary activities for kids and adults alike. Whether it’s face painting, board games, pool games, fitness classes, dance classes, and more – they have something for everyone at all hours of the day!
Absolutely! In addition to multiple pools, there is plenty of beachfront for your relaxation needs.
Fitness center
Included with your stay, you can sweat it out at their fully-equipped fitness center or challenge yourself at boot camp and beachfront yoga. Hit the pool for an aquatic workout, like water spinning or the aqua gym, and stay cool while your torch calories. Each day there’s a fitness class offered at 9:30AM!
Child care options
Yes! The Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall offers a KidZ Club where little ones can join in on island fun including beach sports, arts and crafts, and other exciting activities and games. In the evening, kids can choose to participate in PJ and disco parties while the older kids hang at the Teen Club—home to foosball, air hockey, and video games. Open daily, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and the games room is open from 6 PM to 9 PM. They accept ages 3-12, age 3 must be potty trained.
Water sports:
The options are endless! You can grab a kayak or a catamaran, jump a wave on a boogie board or dip below the surf to snorkel the Caribbean. Want to relax? Cool off in the relaxation pool, a quiet oasis perfect for unwinding in the Jamaican sun, or join the party in the activities pool offering a variety of family fun.
Thank you to the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall for hosting me during my stay! I can’t wait to return again soon with my family!
