This thick and creamy protein-packed chocolate banana smoothie is filled with nutrients to give you long-lasting energy all day long.

You know I drink smoothies all year round, but I get especially excited when the rest of the world joins me every January. And for good reason! Smoothies take just minutes to make, you can throw in whatever fruits or veggies you have on hand and they are ideal for sipping on-the-go.

Chocolate Banana Protein Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup Friendship Dairies 1% Cottage Cheese
  • 1/4 cup protein powder chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 scoops ice more or less to taste

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and puree until smooth and creamy. Pour in a large glass to serve.

    Cottage cheese is the best. I love it in smoothies! Also, on it’s own with pineapple or bananas and honey. Sounds weird, but such a great post workout snack.

    I LOVE cottage cheese. Normally when I eat it I cover it tons of pepper and diced tomatoes. It’s my favorite snack and to be honest I’ll happily eat it for breakfast too..haha. I think ti’s a great idea to incorporate it into a smoothie. I want this tomorrow!

    I had cottage cheese for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I am now OBSESSED – love it for breakfast with some fruit and a little sprinkle of muesli! Can’t wait to try it in a smoothie – genius!!
