The easiest dessert you’ll ever make, you are going to love this chocolate peanut butter magic shell that hardens over your favorite ice cream in seconds.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Magic Shell - The Lemon Bowl

It’s pretty clear by now that I’m an avid chocolate peanut butter fan. The truth is, I think the two taste better together than apart. But you know what takes it over the top? When you combine it into a quick and easy magic shell that instantly hardens when poured over ice cream. Winning.

Chocolate PB Magic Shell - The Lemon Bowl

If you’ve never made homemade magic shell before, your mind is about to be blown. It takes no more than 60 seconds to make and is nothing more than your chocolate of choice and coconut oil melted until smooth.

PB2 Powder

On a whim, I recently made it with PB2 and was immediately hooked. Creamy peanut butter would work well too but I’d rather save my calories for the ice cream. PB2 powder is simply peanuts that have been pressed to remove 85% of the oil. To be clear, I love natural peanut butter and eat it all the time so if you can spare the calories in your day, be my guest.

The bottom line? This is going to be your new go-to dessert. Perfect for just one or serving a crowd – you are going to love this easy, show-stopping dessert.

Your spoon is waiting.

We’ve now made this a few times, once with mint chocolate chips too – kids love it! Thanks for the recipe.

Homemade magic shell is one of my family’s favorite treats. Our favorite combo is homemade PB ice cream with a dark chocolate magic shell on top, so good! I know your PB magic shell would be a hit around here, too.

Ok, this is just straight up genius!! I love it!! I’m such a huge fan of chocolate – peanut butter anything (so is my hubby – I just posted the ice cream birthday cake I made for him which was chocolate peanut butter cup) and I just so happen to have a canister of PB2 I’ve never quite known what to do with. I see ice cream with this magic shell on it in my very near future…like tonight!

Chocolate and peanut butter together makes EVERYTHING better! I want to pour this over all the ice cream in my freezer (and that’s a lot).

There’s tons of magic shell recipes out there, but this is one of my faves. I don’t have to worry about storing extras, just make enough for what I need!

Magic Shell was my brother’s absolute favorite dessert when we were kids. I love that you used PB2 to create this version! Pinning.
