In honor of National Ants on a Log Day, I’ve created six fun new ways to enjoy the childhood classic snack that everyone loves to eat!

Snacks are life. Whether you’re trying to reach a weight loss goal, fuel a workout routine or keep up with your hungry kiddos, I think we can all agree: snacks. are. life.

In honor of National Ants on a Log Day (yes, it’s a holiday!!), I’m sharing six fun new ideas for the classic childhood snack. With a variety of savory and sweet options, there’s something for everyone:
- Tuna Salad
- Peanut Butter and Raspberries
- Guacamole and Pickled Jalapeños
- Herbed Goat Cheese and Salami
- Peanut Butter and Dried Cherries
- Hummus and Cherry Tomatoes

Jacob’s favorite was the peanut butter with dried cherries but my oldest son loved the tuna salad ants on a log! Either way, one thing is for sure: they make the ideal after school snack or lunchbox treat.

Feel free to get creative and mix and match with your own favorite toppings. Celery is the perfect low-calorie, high-fiber vessel to fill with protein-packed ingredients (hello hummus!) to create a healthy snack that won’t cause a sugar spike.

What are your favorite ants on a log toppings? I’d love to hear your creative ideas! No forks required.
