The key to any green smoothie is a balance of sweet and tangy flavors, and that’s exactly what you’ll achieve with my Carrot Apple Ginger Green Smoothie.

    Ingredients:

    The perfect balance of:

    Sweet: bananas, protein powder, apples, carrots, and vanilla.
    Tangy: lemon juice, spinach, and flax seed meal.
    Spicy: fresh ginger root.

    How to Make a Carrot Apple Ginger Green Smoothie

    Start your smoothie by cutting and preparing all of the produce. Core and chop your apples, peel and cut the carrots, peel the banana, slice your ginger.

    Ingredients
     

    • 1 banana
    • 1 apple (cored and cut large chunks)
    • 1 carrot (peeled and cut in chunks)
    • 2 cups spinach
    • 2 scoops protein powder
    • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
    • 1 inch raw ginger
    • 1 tablespoon flax seed meal
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • water (to blend)
    • ice (to taste)

    Instructions
     

    • Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and puree until smooth.
