The ultimate 10-minute side dish recipe, your family will love this fast and easy grilled corn brushed with sweet and smoky barbecue sauce.

Grilled corn with BBQ sauce on a round white plate.

This time of year as the weather heats up and the days get longer, I like to keep dinner time as simple as possible, and cook outside whenever I can! One of my go-to side dish recipes is Grilled Corn with BBQ Sauce. Ready in less than 10 minutes, it couldn’t be any easier or more delicious. As the corn kernels cook over the grill they become sweet, tender, and slightly charred. A perfect side to go along with my Smoky Grilled Pork Chops!

Step 1. Start by husking your corn and trimming the ends.

Picking up corn cobs off of grill with tongs.

Step 2. Grill corn on your grill, preheated to high heat. Cook for about 5-6 minutes, turning often.

Brushing grilled corn with bbq sauce.

Step 3. Once corn is slightly charred, brush with bbq sauce and heat through. Brush again once removed from the grill.

Garnishing corn with bbq sauce with fresh parsley.

Step 4. I also like to sprinkle any fresh herbs I have on hand at the end, like parsley or cilantro.

Just before serving, I give it one more brush of the sauce to make sure every bite is the perfect balance of salty, sweet, tangy, and smoky. Serve and enjoy your Grilled Corn with BBQ Sauce!

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should you BBQ corn on the cob?

When cooking straight on the grill, the corn tends to cook faster, in under 10 minutes. If you’re barbecuing in the husk, it might take more like 15-20 minutes.

How do you keep corn from drying out on the grill?

Overcooking your corn is a sure fire way of drying it out. I love brushing the bbq sauce the last few minutes the corn is still cooking to add some more moisture.

Should corn be soaked before cooking?

You can soak it first, but you don’t have to!
