How To Make Oven Baked Chicken Wings

To make oven baked chicken wings at home, you simply drizzle with a little oil then bake them until crispy and crunchy.

honey being added to a bowl of chicken wings

For added flavor, I tossed the baked chicken wings in a sweet, sticky and slightly spicy glaze made with honey and hot sauce. Want to dial up the heat? Simply add more hot sauce or dial down the honey.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What temperature should chicken wings be baked at?

Baking chicken wings at 425 degrees for 25-30 minutes will get them to crisp up. If you need them crispier than baking will do I’d suggest running them under a broiler. That will make them really crispy!

How do you make spicy wings?

Want to dial up the heat on these wings? Simply add more hot sauce to give them an extra kick or dial down the honey.

Does canola oil have to be used to make wings?

No. Canola oil does not have to be used. You can use vegetable oil or olive oil and achieve the same result.

No forks required.

Delicious wings! For the chipotle sauce, I chopped up some canned chipotles and added the adobo into the mix. Turned out spicy, smokey, sweet, and tasty! Thanks for the recipe!

Hi…I was just wondering why you use Canola Oil to toss the wings in before baking…Thanks…!

It has a higher smoke point than olive oil but you can use another type such as avocado or peanut oil also!

THese wings are delicious and so easy. Recommended to all my friends. Love the zip from the hot sauce. Although I confess the first time I made these, I discovered my hot sauce had been in the cupboard for little too long, so I substituted 1/4 tsp cayenne. Still delicious!
