- For the wings: chicken wings and drumsticks, oil, salt, and pepper.
- For the honey chipotle sauce: honey, hot sauce, oil, salt, and pepper.
How To Make Oven Baked Chicken Wings

Step 1. Start by patting your chicken dry, the seasoning with the oil, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

Step 2. Then on a prepared baking sheet, lay out the wings in an even layer. Bake at 425 for around 25 minutes, until skin is crispy.

Step 3. While wings are baking, make your sauce by adding of the ingredients to a medium saucepan and heat over medium heat until simmering.

Step 4. When the wings are finished, brush on the glaze, or pour sauce over wings in a large bowl and toss to coat.

Return to the oven for a few minutes to allow glaze to set, then serve garnished with fresh scallions and paired with ranch or blue cheese dressing, and enjoy your Crispy Oven Baked Chicken Wings!

- Pre-heat oven to 425 and line a baking sheet with foil
- Place chicken wings in a large bowl and pat dry with a paper towel. Toss to coat with oil, salt and pepper then place in a single layer on a prepared baking sheet.4 pounds chicken wings, 1 tablespoon canola oil, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Bake chicken wings until golden brown and crispy, about 25-30 minutes.
- Prepare glaze by heating all ingredients in a small saucepot over medium heat. Bring to a simmer then reduce heat to low allowing glaze to thicken slightly.1/4 cup honey, 1 tablespoon hot sauce, 1 tablespoon canola oil, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- When wings are done baking, remove from oven and brush glaze over both sides of each chicken wing. Return wings to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes to allow the glaze to set.
- Serve immediately.

Baking chicken wings at 425 degrees for 25-30 minutes will get them to crisp up. If you need them crispier than baking will do I’d suggest running them under a broiler. That will make them really crispy!
Want to dial up the heat on these wings? Simply add more hot sauce to give them an extra kick or dial down the honey.
No. Canola oil does not have to be used. You can use vegetable oil or olive oil and achieve the same result.
