Transform your favorite frozen blended coffee drink into a thick and creamy protein smoothie. This healthy breakfast recipe is naturally gluten free and full of nutrients.
Smoothies are always popular on my website and for good reason: they’re portable, nutritious and extremely versatile. In fact, it’s no surprise that my Blueberry Kale Protein Smoothie was one of my Top 10 Most Popular Recipes of 2017! Plus, as many of you know, I love coffee and recently read that drinking coffee could help you live longer. Win Win!

After a delicious two week holiday break, most of us are back to work and school today so I figured we could all use a little caffeine boost to power us through. My blended coffee banana protein smoothie is inspired by those sinfully decadent frappes from your favorite local coffee shop.
My healthy version is packed with over 22 grams of protein and is naturally sweetened with a ripe banana. Collagen adds a major protein boost and instant espresso powder gives it a warm and nutty flavor and a much-welcome caffeine kick.
If you missed it, I recently shared why I started adding collagen into my daily smoothie.
In the meantime, take 5 minutes and whip up this blended coffee banana protein smoothie. Healthy enough for breakfast, tasty enough to enjoy for dessert!
Your straw is waiting.
