This thick and creamy smoothie recipe is protein packed and made with sweet apples, creamy peanut butter and a pinch of cinnamon.
Peanut butter is my love language and I have no shame. Low carb, full of healthy fats and oh-so-tasty, peanut butter is a great way to compliment high fiber foods such as apples, whole grain bread or oatmeal.
Spoiler Alert: If you haven’t tried my Chocolate Peanut Butter Overnight Refrigerator Oats, this would be a good time.
For this thick and creamy apple peanut butter smoothie recipe I simply blended together an apple, a banana, peanut butter, yogurt, flax seed and a little cinnamon and vanilla.
The creamy, salty peanut butter is the perfect balance to the sweet and tart apples. If you want to keep it vegan, simply swap out the Greek yogurt for full fat coconut milk.
The end result is a sweet, creamy, slightly tart and nutty smoothie that will keep you full and satisfied for hours.
For a little added indulgence, feel free to drizzle with melted peanut butter right before serving.
Your straw is waiting.
