Scooping all-purpose Greek seasoning.

Spice and seasoning blends can make it a lot easier to add flavor to your meals. While you can buy plenty of spice blends from the store, it’s actually really easy to make many of them at home! While each seasoning blend will vary slightly, this All-Purpose Greek Seasoning is a favorite of mine to keep in the pantry. I use it to season chicken and seafood, or sprinkle on top of salads, soups and stews, and cooked vegetables!

Ingredients

  • Salt: I like to use a large grain sea salt or kosher salt for my spice blends.
  • Dried oregano: Earthy and pungent, with hints of mint, it’s a classic herb used in Greek cuisine.
  • Garlic powder: Concentrated garlic flavor, for strong, aromatic flavor.
  • Black pepper: A bit woodsy and sharp in taste, it’s a staple seasoning in many parts of the world.

How to make All-Purpose Greek Seasoning

To make your all-purpose Greek seasoning, mix all ingredients together in a large bowl until evenly distributed.

Then transfer the seasoning to a jar or other airtight container. If you don’t have a funnel, a paper plate is a great replacement.
