    Game Day is right around the corner and I don’t know about you but I am all in for anything that involves a day of eat ing appetizers. Are you hosting friends? Heading to a party? Either way you roll, I’ve got you covered.

    My fresh and flavorful pico de gallo recipe couldn’t be easier to make if I tried. You simply toss together roma tomatoes with red onion, minced jalapeño, fresh garlic, cilantro and lime juice.

    Season to taste with salt and pepper and you’ll quickly find yourself unable to stop after just one bite.

    Ingredients
     

    • 6 roma tomatoes (diced)
    • 1 cup red onion (minced)
    • 1 cup cilantro (minced)
    • 1 jalapeño (minced)
    • ½ cup lime juice ((about two limes))
    • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • tortilla chips to serve (optional)

    Instructions
     

    • Place the first six ingredients in a large bowl and toss well. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve with tortilla chips if you wish.

    Notes

    To keep the dish mild, omit the jalapeño peppers. For medium heat, remove most of the seeds and pith. To keep the dip spicy, minced the pepper whole including the seeds.
